I currently have an IPOD touch 3rd gen and use the BadElf GPS adapter which works without a phone connection. strictly from satellite. I would like to get a larger device but it seems that the only devices that seem to have available GPS external devices are the Apple IPAD. I really don't want to spend that much. Is there a GPS adapter that works with your device or is the built in GPS able to work with satellites only?
