The HTC Supersonic was caught on fairly grainy film recently, which confirmed that it would be an Android-based update of the HTC HD2, but now clearer pictures of the smartphone have emerged alongside images showing what looks to be the HTC Bravo.
Both the Supersonic and the Bravo are set to join HTC’s Android line-up and both look very similar to the two mobiles on which they are based, namely the HD2 for the former and the Nexus One for the latter.
The Bravo appears to have an optical trackpad as opposed to the trackball of the Nexus One, which confirms last week’s reports and the Supersonic looks likely to offer WiMax network connectivity, which will make it a particularly significant arrival.
Anticipation prior to the Mobile World Conference (MWC), which will be held in Barcelona next month, is building to a fever pitch and although these new images cast a little more light on the upcoming handsets from HTC, they are no substitutes for the hard facts and official demonstrations that should be made available to the world’s media at the MWC in February.
