The guys over at Pocket-Lint caught a glimpse of a white iPhone 4 which was being used by a mysterious man. They approached the owner and asked how he got his hands on the white iPhone 4 since no one else has managed to do so. He mentioned that Apple’s HQ in Cupertino has plenty of white iPhones, so he had a friend “fix him up” with the model.

We had heard that Apple isn’t too happy with their suppliers when it comes to matching the white color of the phone’s parts, so it will be a while before this issue gets sorted out.

With the Verizon iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 now the worst kept secret in Silicon Valley, close attention will be paid to whether Apple treats its new partner Verizon and its old partner AT&T equally or whether it shows favoritism to one or the other in the name of getting what it wants. The only Verizon related announcement Apple has (ever) made thus far was a pair of press releases this past week announcing that its iPad will go on sale in both Verizon and AT&T retail stores later this month. Both announcements were made on the same day, and both stores will begin selling the iPad on the same day. So on the surface, the two carriers appear to be getting equal love from Apple, which gives no hint as to which might be Apple’s (unofficially) preferred iPhone carrier in the U.S.

But look a little closer at those press releases and you’ll see something different. Actually, you don’t have to look past the titles. For starters, a pair of press releases were issued, which in and of itself ensures that Verizon gets its own iPad announcement with no mention of AT&T. But rather than being the same press release twice, or even slightly modified for variety’s sake, Apple’s two press release headlines (which each announce basically the same thing but with different partners) couldn’t written in a more different-sounding manner.
